The Right to Have Rights

Humans are humans from our earliest biological beginning. Humans are exceptional in that they alone are created in God's image. This forms the basis of all human rights. It’s what unites us. It’s what inspires all works of justice and mercy for the oppressed, and it’s what makes us equal. Race, sex, socioeconomic status, developmental stage, level of dependency, physical and mental capacity, medical prognosis, the manner of conception, and wantedness do not change our humanness. They do not make us less valuable or less deserving of justice and protection.

This is personhood: The right to have rights. And this is the clarion call for the pro-life movement: To reclaim the constitutional right to life for all human beings. Now.

Today, pro-life Americans across the country are asking President Donald Trump, according to the power granted to him as Chief Executive of the United States, to issue an executive order that directs all federal agencies to recognize the child in the womb as a person deserving of equal protection, without exceptions. Will you join us?
